About Us

The Sacramento First Church of God is a non-denominational church, affiliated with a great and rapidly growing international movement known as the Church of God (Andersen, Indiana) movement.

We hold that the church is essentially one; that it is not an organization, but a spiritual organism, made up of all Christians everywhere. The Church, in the New Testament sense of the term, does include all Christians.

We have rejected denominational creeds in an endeavor to unite all Christians on the simple New Testament basis of a personal experience in the saving power of Christ. Therefore, we have no creed or book of authority in matters of Christian faith and practice but the Bible.

We believe that God has chosen the local church to represent His life and His love to the community. We emphasize all aspects of the Scripture, from God’s work with the people of Israel, to the birth, life, death and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
