First Church on 58th is a non-denominational church, affiliated with Church of God Ministries, out of Anderson, Indiana.

 

We hold that the church is essentially one; that it is not an organization, but a spiritual organism, made up of all Christians everywhere. The Church, in the New Testament sense of the term, includes all Christians.

 

We endeavor to unite all Christians on the simple New Testament basis of a personal experience in the saving power of Christ. Therefore, we have no creed or book of authority in matters of Christian faith and practice but the Bible.

 

We believe that God has chosen the local church to represent His life and His love to the community. We emphasize all aspects of the Scripture, from God’s work with the people of Israel, to the birth, life, death and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
